The word Hatha comes from combining the two Sanskrit terms 'ha' meaning sun and 'tha' meaning moon. Hatha yoga balances the mind and body through physical postures (asanas), controlled breathing(pranayama) and the calming of the mind through relaxation and meditation.It is the basis for all other styles of physical yoga, with a traditional approach to yoga asanas and breathing techniques.
